If you missed The Creepy Crawley Show held at Saltfleetby Village Hall on Sunday August 3rd, you missed a treat!

Craig with just one of his Geckos.

To meet a young man with the enthusiasm and knowledge, of 15 year old Craig Humberstone, regarding Tarantulas, Snakes, Lizards, Geckos and more, was a sheer pleasure.

Craig put on a wonderful display of his creatures in the village hall, and spent time with visitors young and old, explaining all about each of them, how they shed their skin, what they eat, etc.

Tarantula Acanthoscuria geniculata - common name - Brazilian white knee

Craig enjoyed talking to all the visitors.

Little did Craig's family know when they allowed him to have his first 'Tarantula' at the age of 12, that this would lead to so  many other 'creepy crawlies' in their front room!

This Moorish Gecko was rescued from a dustbin.

Craig got the Gecko above from a friend who had rescued it from a dustbin. He was unsure about the type, so I contacted a lady who keeps them and she was able to identify it as a 'Moorish gecko' (tarentola mauretanica)  also known as a 'Crocodile Gecko' because of it's rough scalation.

Green Anole

Tarantula - Grammastola rosea- common name - Chilean rose

I would like to wish Craig "Good Luck"  with his hobby and hope it leads to greater things for him!
