RECENT EVENTS AT SALTFLEETBY VILLAGE HALL

Over the past few weeks fund raising for a new village hall has been in the form of two musical evenings, monthly bingo sessions and monthly car boots.
On the first musical evening around fifty villagers and friends were entertained by “Belinda” a personality vocalist, and when she wasn’t performing Andy Warren provided a disco. We held a raffle, ran a bar, cooked hot dogs and beef-burgers, and everyone agreed it had been a very enjoyable evening. The village hall fund benefited by over £200 So that was good

The second evening was a complete contrast when we had “Stranded” a young Pop/Rock group from Louth. This was put on because we thought it would appeal to the village teenagers, but on the night we only had a total of thirty people attending, and there were far more Mums and Dads than teenagers. This raised £80, not much when all the hard work preparing is taken into account and it was a disappointment for the band, playing to such a small audience. They were good and if you like Rock/Pop type music then go along and support them when you see one of their “Gigs” advertised.

Our Bingo sessions are held on the last Sunday of the month in the village hall at 7-30 p.m. We give good practical prizes, so why not come along and join in the fun.
Car Boots are held on the first Sunday in the month and start at 1-00 p.m. If you are interested in selling those unwanted presents, or all those items languishing in the attic then come along and hire a pitch for just £3-00.

Our next fund raising effort is a Fun Day to be held at the village hall on Saturday 13th August starting at 1-00p.m. when there will be Tombola, Bingo, Raffle, Cake Stall, Refreshments, and many other stalls. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please note that the Friday night auctions are back again. Viewing is from 4-30 p.m. and the auction starts at 6-30 p.m.
