News About Our New Free Guestbook

For some weeks now I have been working with the help of a very good friend and excellent webmaster (Thank you Michael, I could not have done it with our your help!), to get our 'New Guestbook' to work just as I wanted it to. And I have to say that after a number of  trial runs and more that a number of words that I will not repeat on our website, we have succeeded!!! (I hope!!) I have copied most of the entries out of our Old Guestbook into the New one (if I have missed yours, I do apologise, just let me know or even better still, why not sign again!).

As you will see it now has the 'Search facility', this I feel will be of great help in finding other signing from people asking for information about the Friends/ Family that  you are looking for, or just to find the guestbook signing that you wanted to reply to (this will make life so much easier, you no longer have to sit and read through all of the entries to find the one you want!).

All signings in our New Guestbook have to be approved by the webmaster first, this will help to stop Spam signings from getting into the guestbook, also I get an e-mail if a false e-mail address is given, so I am then able to remove the entry, this is all for security purposes.

I am also pleased to be able to tell you that our New Guestbook is cost free!! So this means that we no longer have to make a charge for Local Businesses who wish to advertise on our website.

The Bravenet Guestbook was very good, but it came at a cost of well over £60 a year just to keep it popup free, and for this reason, I had to make a small yearly charge of £15 to each of the Businesses who did advertise with us. This did not always cover the cost, so it had been my intention for a long while to get a free guestbook up and running.

You see, there are times when you must all be thinking nothing is happening on the website, but believe me, there is almost always something being worked on in the background ready for the website. BUT NOT FOR THE NEXT WEEK!!! I AM OFF THE COMPUTER ALTOGETHER FOR THAT TIME!!!

Now to let you see just some of the work my Excellent Webmaster Friend, who I am forever indebted to for his help (that means I owe him a cuppa, Oh ******!!!).
