On Sunday the 30th April 2006 I made this Announcement:- OUR VILLAGE WEBSITE MAY HAVE TO CLOSE! HAVE YOU GOT THE TIME & DEDICATION NEEDED TO SAVE IT? This site is too good to lose!!!! Due to my ongoing health problems and with great sadness, I have to announce that I can no longer continue as the Webmaster for this very popular site, it could mean it’s closure in September, unless I can find someone locally who would be willing to take over the running of it. I would of course give full support and help to anyone interested in doing so. You do not need to have a great knowledge of HTML format (if you have all the better, but don't be put off if not) as I have created the whole of this site in 'FrontPage', something that could be soon learnt! This is a voluntary position and is very rewarding, knowing that you are preserving both the history and up to date information of our village for others to see. The hosting cost of the website is currently sponsored by our Parish Council. This website was started by myself almost 4 years ago and has grown beyond my wildest dreams, all thanks to the people who have contributed the masses of information within this site. It would be so sad to lose all of this, the main structure is there it just needs building on now!
